Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Saginaw Valley Chapter, hosted the 24th annual dinner/dance benefiting the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Michigan, Friday May 8th, 2009 at The “H” in Midland. Funds raised from this event will be used to sponsor wishes of children in the Tri-County area who are bravely facing their health challenges.
Over the past 24 years, this ABC sponsored event has raised almost $450,000. The funds raised have granted the wishes of over 88 area children and is considered one of the state’s largest single fund raising events for the foundation.
“Racing for Wishes” was the theme for this year’s dinner/dance. Entertainment was provided by the areas popular band CEYX. Guests also enjoyed racing in a NASCAR simulator, participating in a raffle and silent auction.
While sadly some children do lose their health battles two families; The Wyman’s and DeWyse’s, shared that the memories provided by the “Wishes” gave them enduring and happy memories of their children, Brandon Wyman and Danielle DeWyse.
